Ended up seeing 1 small buck and while I was busy watching him thrash a tree some other deer started blowing at 7:15 and I think it was the nubby button from this morning. He still counts as a doe so he gets the arrow in the morning if I see him.

Well, the tight racked 8 and the real nice buck with splits came out one after the other. The big one gave Layla a 28ish broadside shot. She hit him dead square in the shoulder. Maybe an inch of penetration. Broke the head off. We both are disappointed, but I am very proud of her. Rages won't break bone.

Nothing for me tonight, wife had a small buck under her. Someone shot a doe on the woods across from her. Nice start to the season.

I had 1 small buck and 10/11 doe and fawns hang around tonight. Chose not to get dirty!

Saw 2 small bucks 4 does and 8 fawns.Also chose not to get dirty tonight.was a good hunt though.
