It's straight up shitty here! Raining and windy. Spent the morning scouting ducks, lunch time getting our blind ready for the Ohio duck opener, then went to the farm to finish two sets on the neighboring property I call Hippie Ridge. Was a great day to hang stands!

The set I'm in I just hung about two weeks ago. It's right in a old abandoned fence row. Thick as all get out right now. Jus need some of these leaves to come off.



Hoping this rain moving in a funky direction has them up and moving.

Windy and raining here. Nothing like being at the wood line and having your mother in law yell across the property asking If I needed my keys. These are my favorite days of the year. I love a dark cloudy cool fall day nothing like it. I'd willingly give up summer for days like this to last all year.

My lil girl and I are out in a field tonight. Already saw a doe. Tried an open field stalk and got within 80 yards. Told her it was a 1 in a million chance but she said "let's go for it. We have to get to the blind anyway." Lol.

I'm back in the blind again. Little chilly with a little breeze and some light rain mixed in. Waiting for my first deer sighting of the season still.
