He was near his death when you backed out. I have bumped deer when tracking with our dog. Sometimes a mortally wounded deer jumps and takes off even if it was a mortal hit (liver, paunch). Bump them a couple more times and you will find they bump a little shorter distance each time you bump them. Please don't take this wrong. I do not intentionally bump deer. Sometimes it happens though. You have a dead deer to pick up right now. Good luck!

I would've let J start a iks thread but I didn't want to invoke the wrath of heir Kaiser the iks nazi. Wasn't going to shoot this doe but she kept trying to find me, stomping her feet. If she would have just walked off she would have lived. Most of times when a doe finds you she becomes a pain. Thanks for all congrats.

Not going out for probally 2 weeks so figured I might as well go find where they are at. Saw about 40 deer tonight which was nice. 10 bucks total. 2 super nice bucks and the rest younger. They were in 2 horse fields and one wheat field.

We glassed the farm. Saw 4 does with plenty of light. I gotta believe it would have been a fun night in our stand.
