shot an 8 pt right at 7:00. Got blood and pulled back to let him do his thing. Waiting for my buddy to help start tracking. Might have hit him a little low but really don't know. Fingers crossed, might be a long night!

Good luck tonight or in the morning! Keep us posted!

Skunked again. Giving up on that spot for a week or so. I think the deer are all down the street in the standing corn.

Ryan I think I would give it a few days and try a morning hunt. If you're bumping them right after dark, maybe if you get out there on a cool night they'll come out a little early for you? Good thing/bad thing about my spot is I don't think the deer are anywhere near my blind so I'm not scaring anything at least lol.
I was thinking about doing that. I'm going to give it till next week and wait for a morning hunt opportunity.

Okay. Past 2 times getting out of the stand and I spooked deer both times. I wait till pitch black than head back to the house. Should I just stick to morning hunts or what? I hate bumping deer out of a area but this stand is the only place I can hunt which is the downfall of it. I don't know what to do besides just not hunt it. Any help?

Can you alter your route to where you go around them? You might have to change your e it route sometimes even if it makes you walk another 200-500 yards. If it's a killer set I would do whatever it took to enter or exit it with as little disturbance as possible. Some place due to lack of accessibility on neighboring property I know it's not possible but if you can I'd do it in a heartbeat. Good luck Ryan!!

I may try and hang/relocate my stand to a better entry/exit spot to the North since I keep spooking deer on the south side. And on the North side there are a huge row of BlackBerry bushes to help screen my route out.

Just had 2 8pt come thru. 35yds. Bigger probably was 125. Watched them spar 40 or 5yds away. Pretty cool.

Thanks you so much for the offer. I'm in Columbus area. I will post an update this morning but the cliff notes version is we had good blood and bedded him around 11:30 and called it off for the night. Unfortunately can't get back out until this afternoon cuz of work. Ugh. He's bedded up in a shady area so hopefully he'll still be ok meat-wise

Just had another 1.5yr old buck stroll thru. Was thinking about wrapping it up and getting to work. Nope. That will keep me here until 10. Lol. Bit surprised I haven't seen any does yet.

Near zero wind today. Have had deer on all sides of me. Nothing but relaxed for every one of them. All within 50yds. Stand placement seems to be as good as I can do while still having cover. Visibility is not the best but is adequate. Nothing has seen me yet and I am up, down, peeking around tree, etc to check lanes. Didn't spook anything on way in is always a plus. Being in tree an hour before legal light helps. So far I am digging this stand set.
