Which area of Ohio has the dumbest hunters?

After reading rsmiths issues with hunters next to his property and my story about the guy spraying buck bomb, I started thinking, which area of Ohio has the worst/stupidest deer hunters. I unfortunately believe that North West Ohio where I am originally from has the some of the worst hunters in Ohio. I feel like lack of woods, liberal permission of hunting (buddy system), over usage of state property and systematic deer drives puts north west ohio in 1st place. Thoughts, stories?

We have people in this area that think property lines don't mean anything and it is very frustrating. Can't tell you how many people I've seen walking across fields that don't belong to them like it's not a big deal. Blaze orange and all, just strolling across someone's field like a dumbass.

I think this depends on the style of hunting.

Deer drives a very effective, if that is your style of hunting. It was the style of deer hunting that got me started in this addiction.

I agree with Jason when in amish territory…(I also have a special kind of hate for amish and their "outdoors" habits) This is not because of the style of hunting though. I think they are dumb because they will hunt the shit out of whatever until they are gone. Thats fuggin retarded!

I also won't hunt around major cities as I think a majority of the people around the city hunting are a bunch morons outside the concrete. No real feel for the woods type of people that think because they spent $1,000 on hunting cloths and $2,500 on a bow, that they are real badasses. No moron, you are whats killing this sport/tradition/way of life! I hope you choke and die on that giant sticker on your back window of your hatchback that displays how big of a douchebag you are.

This world is at full capacity for idiots, it's not contained to any one area. Stay tuned and I might tell ya how I really feel, gotta go to work now. lol

I'm with Fluteman stupid is everywhere you have more than one hunter.
Several years ago I was in my tree stand here comes a trespasser walking across a picked corn field. He's dresses in 100% blaze orange. He stops about 100 yds away and just stands there. He puts the shotgun butt stock on his foot, puts both hands on the barrel muzzle, and then rest his chin on his hands. He just stands there for 10 minutes or so then walked into the brush as if he was hunting rabbits or looking for his lost mind. Still gives me a chill thinking of it.

Anyone on here ever see hunters run after deer or just randomly see hunters stalking with their crossbows? Witnessed these both on more than one occasion in Sandusky/Erie county.

Seen a guy a couple years ago pull out a 1k bow with full scentlok gear head to toe and an almost $500 climber. Then he grabbed a doe decoy and drug all of it across a cut field to access his property. Needless to say he didn't kill anything because he didn't see anything lol. He has not been back since so I'm sure he has moved on to one of your guys neighborhoods lol. Gotta love the armchair hunter that thinks you have to have the latest greatest tools and drag every bit of it with you. Poor guy needed a trailer to haul all his gear lol.

also have a problem with people who only hunt during gun season and are completely clueless in the woods.

Then we have the guys who are bound and determined to kill deer illegally. All the stupid things like bringing some 20 year old brat with a felony record of domestic violence who should not be holding a gun. His father has the same name as a former Cleveland Browns quarterback, a lefty. Guys who remove their orange as soon as they hit the woods. guys who shoot 3 does at one time and ask others to tag them.
I have seen just about every regulation violated more than once.

I vote shelvy county.. neighbors guys( 5 of them) have been busted every year for the last 5 yrs from no plug to no orange to poaching to trespassing and yet they are still aloud to hunt....

Good one for ya tonight.
There is a spot on one of the properties the Redcloud and I hunt that is usually pretty good if it's done right. It is an inside corner of a corn field that also sits along the edge of a drainage creek. There are multiple trails that converge from several different directions. The best way we have found to hunt it is to stay more or less away from the corner and hunt the trails that lead to it. Mostly because the deer could feasibly come from just about anywhere.you can, however, sit close to the corner if you happen to get a NNE wind. I got there tonight with the intention of hunting somewhat close to the corner but a little south of it. I got there to find a brand new pop up blind. 20 yards away from the corner, 10 feet off the main trail that leads north and south. In the wide open. Redcloud was sitting in this place on tuesday and it wasn't there at that time. So this dumbass shows up, 2 weeks into season and pops up a big blob in the open in the middle of one of the main hubs on the whole property.

I've hunted nw, ne, se, and central Ohio... IMO, there is an equal relative density of idiot hunters everywhere you go. Lol
