My buddy brett and I do a lot of hunting together..... I have shot a couple of my biggest deer on his properties on years I didn't have squat.....
Well this year he didn't have anything....and I mean nothing. Maybe 1 deer that's 125.... so last week I had a deer show back up that I got 1 nights worth of velvet pictures of in august....
I also caught wind of someone else having pictures of him in early August on facebook. That deer simmered over two miles away from where I got pics august 23....
Well yesterday I hung a new set 30 yards from the tree I've deemed the "killing tree".... it's an oak ridge that has some sort of a natural funnel..... can't explain it.... but the deer just go there....
Tonight at 330 I walked him in to the stand.... at 530 I got a call..... on the other end I heard my buddy say, "I just killed your drop tine buck."
I cannot believe it all came together on the first night in. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.....
