I put sweet feed in a feeder once. Soon as the sun hit it (was not real hot either) it all got stuck together and fugged my feeder up. That was 50/50 corn and sweet feed.

That's why I'm adding cracked corn. My hope is the powder from it will coat the sweet feed and it'll prevent that. If it doesn't, lesson learned.

I've feed sweet feed to the calves and I wouldn't mix it with anything that goes moving parts. Maybe in a very small amount it will be OK but then what real value is it. I wish you luck.
Also no experience with molasses pellets but if the shit melts and coats everything it'll take a blow torch to burn it out. I always used gloves when handling the sweet feed after it was starting to get warm.
The ammo company uses the Harbor Freight cement mixers with 5 gal buckets of brass (70-80 lbs) and run them 8 hrs a day and they work good.

Forgot to mention Harbor Freight has 20% discount coupons in the NRA mag each month.

This will go in a gravity feeder, so no need to worry about moving parts. This mix will only be fed in cold months and the feeder will be in the shade, so I'm not worried about melting.

I missed the gravity feeder. Then it should be OK until the freaky warm spell comes like the 55 degree weather we had this January when my calve was born that week and survived.
