And yes Bobbie and his buddy who found the sheds (who I don't know either of them) would know more than me about the deer. They have cams in the area and way more pics than most. So maybe they can chime in to how very very very 99.99999999% unlikely this buck would end up on my road 4 miles away south of town in one night. Walking right through the middle of it to get there.
Unless he caught the sarta bus! Then maybe he got out to my road.

OK hicks, re-read, many on here were asking where it was shot and trying to find out the story. And werent getting far, other than stark county. so, myself, Bobbie, and now another has joined to share our local knowledge of a beast of a deer and the buzz surrounding it. It just sucks some buzz is negative for the deer and hunter who shot him. TRUTH IS there are fishy parts to his story. Not my fault. I'm just sharing them and trying to inform some and you can form ur own opinion from there.
Had this deer been shot in your area, and you watched this deer for years, your buddy found his sheds, and had pics of him, if you came on here and had great suspicion of the deer(while hoping it was done legally) I would tend to listen and take your knowledge of a deer you know. Not say oh, your jealous.!

It's possible but HIGHLY Unlikely he got to your neighborhood. Would have had cross W state st close to Mall then traveled through many residential neighborhoods to the East. In the last couple years I don't know of a single person that seen or had pics in that area. He was spotted several times close to Glanmorgan st (just North) where there is VERY Little earth underfoot just asphalt. I hope & believe was taken close to bypass. On North side it's hunting permitted on private areas with written permission of Course! It's just incredible he survived as long as he did with all that traffic especially on the bypass with vehicles traveling very fast. Just somewhat disappointed I won't have a chance to find his sheds ever again. LoL 

JMO But I have a feeling about this deer. If the "4 miles" in one night is supposed to be true, I have a feeling we are going to see more on this deer. And I don't mean good stuff.

I want to welcome all 3 of you fellas to TOO. I do hope you stick around. You definitely have a love for deer that is above the average hunter.

If there is an investigation. I'm sure the first thing he will have to come up with is a written permission slip. And that slip better be for a property that is on the road he said he shot it on.

If I shot a deer like this I wouldn't care who knew where it was shot. It is dead already, so in my mind where it was killed is of little value to anyone.

Even tho the deer is dead u will be amazed how many guys would pound the landowner trying to get permission to hunt

Thank you Xbow thanks for the welcome! Can't speak for the other 2 newer individuals on here but yes I will definitely check in on a regular basis. Love Gods creations Mother Nature, with Whitetail deer being my favorite game animal! 😊 PS I know Bobbie, lives close by, great person/outdoorsman also. Bet he may pipe in a bit too at times atleast I hope. Bone collecter

Understood critter, but if that was his thought process, is it OK or right of that guy to lie and allow a whole road/general area to be affected or bought up like your saying? 4 miles away? How many hunters would that affect? A lot! And for no reason. I don't want that happening in my area or on my road, so if that were his case, don't lie, just keep quiet or tell ur buddies to not lie and keep quiet. And don't put other hunters spots in jeapordy to save yours!

Alpha i shot a 200+ inch deer in 2004.you can keep it quiet all you want people find out.i never told anyone where i shot it always gave false places when they asked, and still had guys sneak in on me on my main hunting property ( which was 2 miles from where i actually killed it).this guy doesnt make me suspicious in the least because of where he says he shot it

Note to self.........don't ever post or share pictures of a giant deer if I ever kill one. This guilty til proven innocent bull shit is fucking ridiculous. How hard is it to say "awesome deer congrats"? I go hunting for me not to be some big deer wanna be pro staffer. If I killed a deer like that I wouldn't tell or share it with anyone because of the bull shit that goes with it. Sad that sportsman can not be happy for another sportsman for killing a giant like this. Rant over.

The hunter has done just that, his buddy is the one that let it out. I agree though, I killed it on my Florida hog lease...lol

I ask this because if he's under investigation would they make social media posts of that deer be taken down? Because runzos leaves pics of deer up for years! Didn't know if it was coincidence or what.

Talked too Brent today while I was there getting some reloading supplies and he didn't pull it off the page, the original poster did.... I'm assuming that one of the guys buddies posted it and then pulled it down.... Brent didn't really know any more then we do on it....
