If you think about it it's not to bad. With summer coming you will still have a few hours of daylight and if you get shit faced you get to sleep in every morning.

If I'm going to waste an entire day, I'm going to go back to working out of town and making real money. I took this job because I was able to have a life...and be home every night. Suddenly not seeming worth it. We will see what happens after a couple weeks of it though. Who knows, it could work out. Getting drunk every night sounds fun! Lol

I'll trade you shifts....you work my 530pm to 600am, 6 days a week till the 4th of July (and mostly likely past that) and I'll work M-F 1030-7...deal?

These thoughts are coming to the surface again a lot lately... The new on call list came out today( a rotation we share, every 9 weeks) I've been here almost a year and every time I've had the phone it's been on a holiday. This rotation is the same. It doesn't sound like a big deal...but it just might be that piece of straw that broke the camels back.

Been leaning towards a DOT job or something along those lines. Work for the county, township, something like that.

Lot of guys like DOT, county and township jobs. Not bad way to go if you wanna work and maybe get in to management. Especially if you like being outside. Sucks to be in a bad place professionally. Most of us have been there. For now, be thankful for the paycheck and keep looking for a better spot. Good luck buddy.

That's shitty. Good luck.

Yeah...not sure how much you heard Michael and I talking that day. He left because of some other things going on also. Things I'm not gonna air out on the Internet.

Thanks Jesse. I'm looking for a place I can go to work and go home. Those types of jobs seem to allow people to do that. Of coarse that changes with big snow falls and other things, but I like that.

Doesn't ring a bell.

Good luck Dave. At the end of the day, you have to be happy. If you have stink in the air and feel like you are always getting the shaft, I see two options: Have a sit down and see what's up, or hit the road. Option 1 at least means you gave them a fair chance to explain themselves.

I've had some sit down conversations with the bosses about many other things. I never give up on anything...it's kicking my ass to think about giving up on this place. The bosses are encouraging me to stay and grow into a management position. But....fugg...I don't know guys.

I've been bouncing back and forth on this for a while now. And the wife is now pushing me towards leaving because she's not happy and things are effecting her... Id love to stay and make a difference. It's a good company to work for, just fighting lazy workers and a pompous boss. The big boss is on my side with all this.

Idk...I feel like I'm rambling and none of this is making sense as it reads. I'm all over the place and need to shut or get off the pot.
