The Nikon Prostaff was recommended to me to buy for a 45-70.
I have a BDC on my muzzy and like it.
find a new or used Leopold 2-7x33 vx1 muzzle loader bdc scope. They are very lightweight and have nice clear glass. Typically run between 190-250 new depending on where you buy and sales.
Bullet drop compensation
Be realistic on a 45/70, its not a 500 yard varmint gun. Hit the gun shows and find a 1970's Bushnell Banner in a 1.5-4X for prices $25-$40. (made in USA, not korea or viet nam.
You do not need a 9X for 45/70 shooting 325 grain bullets.
ahh I don't think I got that on the one I ordered but I am thinking it'll be good. I can return it for free if I don't like it.
What do you all think of this scope?

I love the turkey flex reticle as I have used that in the past.
