PA is worth about what they are charging now, if that. I'm not saying the license and tags need to be increased to keep NR's out either.

PA does have some positive things like the large amount of State Game lands, and National Forests. It does have some negatives like not being able to hunt on Sundays.
I am curious though of why you want to see fees increased?
Ohio is a known big buck state, PA is not. Ohio's NR licences and tags should reflect that. Plus we need to buy more public land, it's too overcrowded
There's a whole thread on this somewhere, the horse has been beaten to death several times on this subject so I'll just leave it at that.

Now if they would be that quick to stock some of the lakes around here I'd be really happy.... I will say they do a great job at land management at the wildlife area I but up against, though.
For the record, my intentions were not to reignite a beaten to death subject, but rather to simply commend the Ohio Division of Wildlife for a very fast return of my license application. Pa doesn't move that quickly. The subject got "spun" into what it is now, as many subjects do. Oh well, I'll still be in Ohio in Nov, that's what counts.
I'm glad they took care of you. That's how the system should work. I also agree with what you said about supporting the small towns with the money NR's spend. #nrmattertoo

If a non resident pays $128 to hunt deer with archery equipment in PA. What are they entitled to? Yes they can rifle hunt also, but unless things have changed they can't bring home any where near the amount of deer a non resident can bring back from Ohio. Yes, each additional tag cost $24 here, but at least the non resident can purchase them and kill does to boot. Last time I hunted PA non residents could only shoot bucks, that may have changed though. Then again, maybe non residents can't buy as many tags here as I assume they can.
I can't imagine why somebody would want to travel to Ohio with intentions of killing a doe, I can do that easily/cheaply enough here in Pa. I'm going to Ohio with hopes of killing my biggest buck to date, not for deer meat. Do you folks have anything like "Hunters Helping The Hungry", where you donate the meat from your kill?

I'm sure many NR take home does for the freezer. Yes we do have a HUSH type system here. Can NR's shoot does in PA, just curious?
I'm not sure on this, because "antlerless" tag allocations change annually county by county, like the weather. For the last 2 years in my WMU, tags were sold out shortly after they became available, where as in the past they never sold out during the entire season! Some say anti hunters are buying them up, which is fine by me.
Buddy of mine and his buddies have taken quite a few does from PA. They have to apply for antlerless tags but they seem to always get them

I wasn't sure how doe tags worked in PA. That is why my post was more of a question than a statement. I haven't hunted PA since the mid 70's. Back then only residents could shoot does. Learned something new today.
Unfortunately if the DNR put a restriction on public lands more NR hunters would look for land to lease. This would push out more hunters who do not have deep pockets to compete with some of the ridiculous lease prices that many are quick to jump on.
