Assuming this is going to be a quality hunt, what would be considered an adequate tip for a semi-guided hunt? The Outfitter/Owners are the guides. What about the cook?

I did my final bow shoot yesterday since I'm on nights this week and if something bad wrong happens my local bowshop is only open in the evenings. But the Muzzy Trocars are on out to 50 yards. I won't shoot that far but it's good to know I can. I took Greg and Jesse's advice and have my bow in an SKB case for the flight.

I have everything washed and packed. Not sure how scent free I can keep everything but I've done what I can. The weather looks like it is going to be decent next week. No rain in the forecast but the daytime temps are creeping up as it gets closer. This is the week they suggested as far as the moon goes.

From the reports I am getting I should see plenty of deer and lots of bucks...how good remains to be seen. They have seen up to 100 deer out in the alfalfa fields in the evenings. This hunt has been a long time coming and I hope to be able to take an out of state hunt every year from now on. I will try to get lots of pics and give a full report when I get back for anyone interested.

You're going to absolutely love Montana. Incredibly scenic territory and the people are as friendly as it gets. Best of luck out there! Safe travels!

Thanks guys! I haven't been out west since 1986...this is long overdue. I want the whole experience and honestly, killing a buck would just be icing on the cake.

Alway's a great attitude to have... Enjoy the cake.... Killing a nice buck is only adding icing on that cake... Good Luck and above all have a safe trip..
