Our yellow lab (Sage) was English as well and had the same coloring as lulu but turned as she matured.... She was a petite 45lbs and was a great asset to the family.... Well after she turned 2 that is lol....

Spent 30 minutes in Rural King and she barely moved from here. Fantastic temperament. Lab snobs probably wouldn't have bought her because there's no real champion in her blood lines and she's essentially the result of a couple farm dogs having at it. Being a dog guy, I trust my instinct like I do with people. Mom was fine with use playing with her puppies and I man handled dad to see how he'd take to a stranger, he acted like we were long lost pals. Of the three puppies, she was the most gentle with K. Looking forward to seeing those two grow up together.
Great find, man. Sounds like you got a winner. Those English labs usually have the best overall family temperament so you did good. She's going to be a great addition to your family I'm sure.
She was a handful for the first 2 years... Stubborn and chewed everything in sight.... The 2 year mark it was like a switch was flipped and a new dog arrived lol
Thanks fellas. K just got home and they've been playing fetch. I bought a stuffed duck for her. Took it out of the bag, threw it and she didn't hesitate. Their instincts are incredible.

Joe's got a new baby, Jessie's got a new puppy, lots of deer down, it's been a good week around here.

My daughter is pretty good natured and always happy. We spent the majority of the day outside today and LuLu followed K around most of the time. I heard a joyous laughter from my daughter today when they were playing that I have never heard. They're snuggled up on the couch now. Great acquisition for the family.
