Clean miss is a huge relief. Sounds exciting. Tell him I said he did a good job. Half the battle is drawing without getting busted, executing the shot, and of course picking the right stand placement. Some things are out of our control.
He got hooked two years ago when he shot that 10 for his first compound buck. I'm blessed to have him wanting to go frequently. We were already game planning adjustments for this buck for Sunday evening.
Haven't been in a tree yet and have only spent 1 hour in the woods since opening day. Had a long week at work. I need some tree time...
Probably will Sunday. Two beers deep already staring at my brush guard and light bar, so tonight is out. Taking K to her first Buckeyes game tomorrow. I'll pretend to be a hunter on Sunday I suppose... LOL

I'm in a stand on the edge of a bean field where corn butts up the the beans...to my west is a old apple orchard that's grown up into a thicket I wish it was 20 degrees colder
