I put the spray on stuff in the bottom of my last jon boat for sound dampening. I put 3-4 layers on and it did help. It took that loud "ting" out if you dropped a sinker but didn't completely absorb the noise. I also put it on the steps and around the top of the frame rail on my boat trailers. Helps a lot with traction. Seems like it would be worth a shot on a stand.

Look at the raptor line as well. It has held up better than herculiner, rhino, and linex on the trucks I have seen using them. Not sure where you are located but I have spray gun for bed liners and would be happy to help out if I can.
