Yes sir it will. He was 35 yards from my stand yesterday morning. TOO bad I was working. Lol. I am pretty sure he must be from the same gene pool as the one I shot last weekend and couldn't find. Racks are almost identical in shape. This one is bigger and doesn't have split brows.

Coshocton County this past weekend and rut activity was still pretty slow on our property. Saw 4 small bucks cruising. Called in another 2 young ones with a doe bleat. Scrapes are still being hit, but not during daylight. Either the big boys are already on lock down or they haven't quite gone "full blown" yet, at least in our area.
Pretty much my observations on the areas I've hunted hard the past few weeks! Saw my one and only shooter cruising through on Friday at 11:20 and couldn't get him to commit to my grunting. Just too timid and not stupid that precise moment. As he walked away about 60 yards away he came 15 yards closer just staring looking for the buck or bucks that grunted. When he saw nothing he just turned and continued on his way.
Had Karissa out yesterday from 8:50 till dark and we were covered up with deer till 11:45. Finally had a doe that was close and wouldn't run if a buck looked at her. She bedded near a blowdown off to our west out about 75 yards. Biggest most mature buck nearby was a heavy beamed 3.5 old 110" 8. He would run all the subordinate younger bucks off till a 2.5 old 8 with busted off brows came too close and got her up then the chase was on. They bedded again 100 yards to our south till 4:45! WTH!!!! That's lockdown for ya! They meandered away then at 5:10 we finally saw the same shooter 10(140-150") dogging a doe out about 175-200 yards out but were headed our way. Till she turned a 90 on us about 140 yards out then she lead him away as 3-4 other bucks stood around watching including the badass 3.5 heavy 8.
We slipped out and licked our wounds! It sucks to see a shooter finally show up and things pick up on my last day of vacation! Hope they're still around come Friday! It'll be a very slow week here at the grind....:smiley_baby:

Saw alot more activity in Washington County this past weekend. Saw several new scrapes and saw some chasing and cruising. My trail cams also show some new bucks and daylight movement. Hoping it continues thru the youth gun season this weekend.
Same here. Best year for rutting activity in my part of Washington County in the 11 years I've been on this farm.
Michael and I watched a pretty intense chase a little while ago. It was like watching a dog run with a ball and another dog trying to get that ball! NEVER seen anything that intense before in deer.

The rut is the same rut we have every year. Some hunters are near a hot doe and seeing then saying rut is great this year and other hunters are far from a hot doe and seeing very little movement if any and saying the rut is slow, so far I've been in that group! rotflmao
IMO, what rutting action we do see during the day pales immensely to what is happening just before dark thru the night to just after first light regardless of moon phase but it certainly will be much greater during full moon phases.
Timing is everything! Picking the right days to hunt when a hot doe might be around your treestand is mostly luck when the majority of us are limited to how often we can hunt.
For me, Friday can't get here soon enough! :smiley_depressive:
