I just geared up and took a hike back onto my property moveing real slow. Didn't make it far until I saw 3. They where a good 70 yards away, but I hit the deck and watched them for a good 30 minutes.

2 of the dinkiest dinks I've ever seen with a third deer that I 'think' was a button buck, but am not positive. Thought it was definitely a button buck, but the two dinks where sparring the entire time as the third deer meandered around.

Had to retreat to go pick my wife up from the dentist. Not trying to piss mama off tonight.

I've had a lucky year in terms of stumbleing on random action like that. That 'hunt' was as sporadic as they get.

We've bought our house and property 4 years ago in November. I'm finally seeing the big picture in terms of how the deer are useing. 8 acres is small. When I go in there to hunt for now on it's gotta be all about business or I'll burn it out in no time. I still think there's a nice one or two in the area.

Good luck out there man! Hope one slips up!

I haven't had much luck calling the past 3 years. In fact I have had no luck. I have recruited some help trying to snare them. Our herd is rebuilding with lots of young deer and i would like to keep it that way.

Trapping them is the most effective way to thin em out. Good luck!
