TOO the tree's tonight.

Heading to the spot I hunted the most this year. Be sitting in a pinch leading to an oak flat that the deer where still digging around at a couple days ago.

I'd love to see a nice mature buck still packing his heat.

Should be settled in by 3pm

I have had three sits in the last 2 weeks and havent seen a deer in my corn pile, when I leave the field that butts up against a trout club has 30 deer in it staring at me.Thinking about giving up for the year

Don't give up man!

The deer must be onto you or the club next door is providing some superior corn(doubtful).

You know those deer gotta be heading your direction IF they are eating the corn consistently. Their Just waiting for dark to commit. I bet you can pick one off that's on route even if you gotta pick a spot on the ground.

Still got till first week of feb. I can understand hanging it up if your getting frustrated and not enjoying yourself. Been there before. I got a good late season spark recently and am enjoying being out there regardless.

Your inspiration has inspired me, what happens is some the woods I am hunting is drove during late fun by 345 local farmers and the deer go over to the trout club woods which is a sanctuary. But Ill hunt today or tommorow now

Just scattered a bag of corn to freshen up the site and bought my daughter a youth apprentice license and tag. We will be going out Monday so we'll see what happens. it's been so slow for me I haven't had her out but a couple times earlier in the season. Deer seem to be holding up in this area and still hitting the corn pile so we will see. She's been asking a lot lately if I can take her out.

How about trying a different approach? Sounds to me like the deer are watching you walk in and out.

Gordo, find me some hope! Show me that all the waiting is worth it.

Giles, this literally happens to us at a place we hunt in eastern ohio. I always try to the tell the land owner to walk to the stand from a different way.
