I'm going to give it another couple weeks. I haven't seen a yote track in 3 weeks and I'm not getting any on camera either. Gotta let the place cool down before turkey season.

Why not pull your traps? Let your scent and traffic stop. Your in there every day with a damn Ranger...I'd leave to!
Ranger don't bother them. Guys check traps on foot every day and still catch yotes. Most of my snares are on field edges, I only have a few in the woods and they are right off of the ATV path, I leave no scent. How do you think snare master Brian checks his stuff?

I walk 5 miles every day checking mine. I walk right up to them. Some of them I even step right over. Maybe I am snaring some dumbass coyotes but they don't seem to care.
I use to walk my line and still catch them, but I tried to stay as far from the sets as possible.

I'm thinking the area is pretty thinned out for the year. I may have the hook up on my buddies cousin's 228 acre farm for next year.

I hope you get the 228 acres. I got of my farms off of Craigslist!

I have a buddy that runs hounds every weekend on coyotes in Pennsylvania. He says if you kill one, seven more move in! In fact, i have seen him run his hounds on game lands(public hunting) the day after deer season and have them going all day. The day before the place was packed with hunters.

Ya you can't ever get them all. Between me and another guy we've taken out about 20 in the last 2 years.

Well I thought I was about done, til this bastard came through last night. He skirted around within 25 yards of 4 other snares.

Did he duck that snare?

I walk my sets every day but I stay back from them when checking if they've been knocked down.

No, I followed the tracks to that pinch point and set that snare today. I stayed off to the side and brushed my tracks so they disappeared.

Hope you get his ass. I haven't seen a coyote track or fresh shit in weeks. I suck at this game apparently. Lol
