I understand their right to protest, but it's the wrong vehicle. Rich athletes taking a knee rather than taking action to make the changes in the places that need it most, is hypocrisy at its finest.

I’ve always loved football especially at the high school and college level. My interest in NFL games has decreased the past few years but the recent protests made it easy to say no more NFL. Found out Monday that I won tickets to the Browns vs Jets game and have already given them away. It wouldn’t have been a great game but prior to the protests I would have gone.
I find it ironic that the players are protesting in support of those who can't afford squat.. living off the government... yet disrespect those who buy the tickets, pay to watch and support their salaries.. like I said.. Ironic
Agreed, it's the wrong place. They don't seem to understand their core consumer. However I will say I would rather see this than groups like Antifa and BLM burning down buildings and being violent.
That's the problem today. Everyone wants change, but nobody wants to do a damn thing about it. We as a society are lazy, and social media has made it easier for people to speak out, yet do nothing. It's a sad world we live in today...

What exactly are they protesting? African American dropout rates , single parent families are above 70%, police kill more whites than any other race combined! If any minority is remotely qualified for a job, they will be a automatic finalist! A black man that is educated and well spoken basically can go as far as he wants in whatever profession he desires! I would argue with my teammates until I was purple about this very topic.

I agree. They entire team could have taken a knee on the 1st play from scrimmage and the message would still have been sent.
I seldom watch the NFL anymore and will watch even less after what happened.
I was laid up for a week after sinus surgery. The first game of the season was about to start between the Pats and Chiefs. I was bored. Turned it on as the anthem was starting. Some DB from KC was sitting in the bench (#20 whoever the hell that is). I turned it off and haven't watched a snap this season.
They weren't allowed to protest 911 with wearing different shoes yet, they kneel during our anthem? I won't watch one game the rest the year. Personally I think they need pissed on while they kneel.

None of these people protest outside of the game. When the anthem plays you stand no matter what.

What Job has any of these over paid spoiled pricks ever had to do to earn a real living?? Don't get me wrong I think they face a lot of stress that the working man faces but theirs is battling thru injuries and making the cut; but if they do it life changes, with the millions they'll earn, with the exception of those who are veterans, which seem to still stand!!!!!
The NBA is as upsetting to me and I can't stand to piss away my time watching those lazy crybaby's play!

I was not a fanatic, but I did watch a little NFL on occasion. I will not any more! Every since I went to the Veterans grave yard in Chillicothe, I have respected soldiers more than ever. (Those who have been in one know what I mean) Always respected them but that done something to me. You have to respect to be respected.

Im not scared to admit that I watch a team I like via free online streams.I don't agree with the manner the protests are being done, but I do support it as free speech.Which isn't free from public or employer repercussions or criticisms.The same rights apply to the white supremacists in Charlottesville.

It must be pretty easy to take a meaningless stand against a social or political issue when you are so far away from it and so well insulated from the repercussions. Fuck those overpaid cowards. they have never gotten a penny of my money or a second of my time, and never will. not all professional athletes fit the mold, but far too many of them do. Malcolm Jenkins can shove that raised fist right up is own ass. Hey Malcolm, quit football and become a beat cop in St. Louis or become an inner city high school teacher. otherwise, you just another impotent, bigoted hypocrite.
