Sounds like a blast! I travel up to Elmore multiple times a year, is that anywhere close?
Yup, right up the road. We looked at a place back the woods by 280&20 with a pond about 4 years ago. Property was perfect, just wrong location.

That's a heck of a nice buck that your son harvested. There are alot of good taxidermists in Ohio, unfortuneately, he's not one of them, no offense meant. I would get another cape and have it remounted by a quality taxidermist.

You can buy good quality wet tanned capes from East Coast Joe, or alot of times you can buy them on Taxidermy Net. I would go at least 19" just under the ears. I tell you what, If you bring me a good 19+" cape , I will re-mount your son's buck for him free of charge, in any shoulder pose except for Wall or Floor pedestal. I say 19+" because he appears to be a good buck and anything smaller, wouldn't do justice for his rack size.
Yeah I didn't want to be "that guy" and call out the poor work. But since it has been said, I agree and that's a hell of an offer MountnMan! You guys on here never cease to amaze me when it comes to helping others out. Probably the biggest reason I became more active again.

Got my 2016 buck back last week. Don't look like there is going to be a 2017 buck lol.
