Anyone into ice fishing? i havnt got to go yet this year and its not looking like its going to happen but ya never know, maybe ittl get really cold in febuary.

What is this "ice" thing of which you speak?
Never done it but looks like it would be pretty fun. Would like to try it someday.
While not ice fishing, I've been wanting to hit a local pond to try some wintertime catfishing as inspired by this dude:

Watching the snow fall has me wanting to do some winter fishing! Hopefully we get some ice this year. A lot of fun picking the right spot to drill a hole. Makes me want to go sink some brush piles...

I do a lot of ice fishing here in VT, we have years where the ice will get over 36" inches on a good winter in the northern part of the state, its one of the most popular winter activities here, some lakes have a Shanty towns on them there will be up to 30 Shanty'sin one area. we have a good time on the ice a lot of good food and a lot of good fish get caught.
I'm an ice junky, when Erie doesn't freeze I go up to red lake Minnesota and scratch the itch. I also have some local spots to hit too.
Yup, I went out of Camp Perry those years. Lots of meat laying on the ice those years. I’ll have to buy another quad if we get another winter like that again.
I bought one last year thinking that since we missed 2015, and 2016, 2017 would provide good ice. Ended up going to northern Minnesota those years. Fingers crossed for 18 ice.
