I’m a little late to the party, just got home and had dinner. Today was the first time taking the Marlin 44 Mag out. You could say I’m pleased with it. Congrats to all who got it done!

Congrats! Make sure you put your Yote pic in the Coyote Challenge.

I believe Joe has one to enter as well.

I went out before light hunting in my tower over my food plot and seen a doe and fawn on neighbor's hay field I have permission to hunt. I forgot to buy hunting licence and I watched them graze for 30 minutes and walk away. It felt good.
I have a hunting licence and deer tag now.

I stayed till 1230. No deer seen. Besides, I haven't shit in the woods or my pants yet this season, so all the better to be home. I had 22 deer sightings yesterday, I'll be back out in a few hrs.

On another note, I've been having Vertigo off & on the last few weeks. I thought it was gone & it came back & hit me while I was up in the ladder this morning. It's not fun.

What is the Coyote challenge?

Every time you shoot a coyote you post a pic in the Coyote Challenge thread. Each coyote will get your name in (can be multiple). Then at the end of the year, we are going to give out a few descent prizes. It is to motivate people to kill those fawn eating critters!

I spent the day milling around with my dad. We walked around a few places in the morning. At 12:30 we took a seat and stayed until dark. Didn't see shit but we shot a lot of it. Just sat and reminisced some old deer stories and talked about life. Pretty relaxing day.

Oh, and we only heard a handful of shots all day and nothing remotely close.

That sounds like a good day. I have heard well over 300 shots in 2 days. But only seen 8 deer.
