They really aren’t that bad in price these days. Worth buying for a project. The smaller wire feed 110V ones will do most things your average home owner/weekend fiddler needs. Then if you decide you want to go big, plenty on the used market.

Santa at work provided me a $500 Amazon gift card so I had to spend it somehow....so I removed this item off my wish list.

My buddy is the same way, been doing it for 40 years and acts like a kid when I bring something too him lol

I've had mine quite awhile now. Ballpark going off memory? $1000-1200. Add in the tanks, cart, tax, etc., roughly $1500-1600. I had a project at the time. I was building my first snow push box. I could buy one for a couple grand or build one. The build paid for the welder. Eventually sold that first pusher and got roughly half the money of the welder back.


My very first welder was a Lincoln Weldpak 100. Think I spent around $300. Later added the Mig kit to it. Don't remember what that cost with tanks and all. I don't think they are much more than that price now. Perfect for most guys tinkering. It won't do 3/8 plate steel like my larger Miller will. It will do plenty though and it is only 110v.

Awaiting the last section to arrive so I can wrap this up. I did wheel the frame down, pain it, and added a couple coats of undercoating. Happy with the results.

Plugging away. Last section of frame to weld was miserable. No room to work. Ugly as sin. I'm sure it will hold though. Painted. Undercoated. Got one bushing sleeve removed and replaced. Broke the spring on my air chisel so still need to do passenger leaf spring. Other than this, we are going the right direction. Putting it back together feels nice.
