Do you all see many box Turtles ? While I was in KY last weekend we ran across alot of them . It got me thinking how I don't see them in my Ohio travels as often as I used too . In fact , I couldn't remember the last time I saw one . Perhaps it's just the area of the state I am in now .

I see a few while shed hunting Jake. They seem to be on the move with a purpose rather just bumfuggin along. Wonder if it’s mating season?!? Cool pic too.

Haven’t seen one yet in Ohio but see them every spring here in NJ while turkey hunting....then again, I’m usually in Ohio in November and they’re probably hibernating by then.
I see plenty in Hocking and Vinton counties in the spring. plenty of empty shells while shed hunting. I never see them in Knox county where I live.
I seem to find more shells then turtles. Maybe have something to do with these late winters? Seems the last few years winter hasn’t started till January and has stayed later.
I can't remember ever finding one up here near the lake. The last one I ran across was in Carroll county about 6 or 8 years ago.

Nope. Not recently. But I'm sure I will once I start mushroom and turkey hunting

Never seen one here in Crawford county. Put in plenty of miles in the woods over the years and have yet to find one up here. Plenty of snappers, soft shell, and pond sliders.
