Yes, I really like going back and looking at previous meetings.
Go up to search. Type shrouds. Hit the gear icon and tap "search titles only"

Gotcha, I didn’t search it. I went to the TOO gatherings forum and selected the ones I wanted to visit. Only goes back to 2017 ML hunt that way.

Weird quirk I noticed. If I have something typed, then delete it, when I come back to that forum the words I deleted and never submitted will already be filled into the box. Sort of like it auto saves even though I deleted it and never clicked "Post reply." Not a big deal. Just making you aware. Weird.

I have the same issue... I’ve noticed the Undo arrow will that delete it for good?

Yep it auto saves so if you drop connection or accidentally leave you don't lose the post. J has the answer. Prevents the old "i had a long post typed up but lost it" issue.

I’d like to revisit the idea of being able to do a search for CWD and EHD. My way of solving this would be for it to auto change when typed in to bring the full name. Type in “CWD” and “chronic waste diesease” appears when you click go/enter.

Not sure if this will help any post that have already been posted, but I think it will help with future hits.

Well. There are two kinds of search. Internal on the site and external like google. On the site we don't index for search any three letter of less words like And, TOO, For, The, Add, etc. Google does however as a site specific search for CWD brings up a lot of results. If I make the acronym CWD auto fill to Chronic Wasting Disease this would help with internal searches but would hurt google traffic as nobody is typing out the full term when searching. They type things like "CWD Ohio" etc.. Let me think on this and figure something out to help with internal searches.

CWD (chronic waste disease)

The google search is what I did last time. And being that I’m never on here, it basically filled my search with all TOO articles.

Can we figure out a way to solve this search for EHD and CWD. I know we have a ton of sub forums already, but that’s the only way I can think of besides changing it in the programming.

I realize this is a pain but the downside to three letter searches far outweigh the benefits. To make it work I would have to change what the database considers a world and rebuild the entire search index. This would also cause words like , and, the, but, you, etc to be searchable. Massive search index bloat, slower searches, and a slower forum. Unfortunately a subforum is probably not a good idea for something that gets brought up maybe once a year.

You may find this to be of help though.

Yep.

site:theohiooutdoors "EHD"

Tells Google to search only one website and match exactly the word EHD

And you can put a -xyz to exclude something.

site:theohiooutdoors "EHD" -giles

The above will show me all the pages on TOO that include EHD that Giles isn't on.

One thing I am having trouble with is knowing at a glance if a thread has unread messages in it. Its easy to see if a forum has unread threads, but the same doesn't seem to be true of threads with unread posts.

The basic Xenforo out of the box style does this by making unread thread titles bold. It appears to have been turned off on the custom style. Is there any chance it could be added back?
