.450 Bushmaster AR Platform

Put this together for deer gun. I only put a 2-7x32 Vortex Crossfire II on it for now. There's also a 45 degree red dot. 50 yards is gold, deer will die at 100.

Standard AR15 lower/upper but with a slighty modified ejection port to accommodate the larger round. The ejection port cover is standard. I used standard 556 mags with snap in followers. 10 round mags hold 3 .450 catridges. 18" barrel.

I only tested one brand due to cost.
Hornady American Whitetail 250 gr FTX @2200 fps.

Hard to beat those hornady products. I shoot the same in the black version.

Very nice AR set up, in 450 Bushmaster!

I nearly purchased a Ruger MPR in the same caliber, but decided to go with the Ruger American, in the "Go Wild" camo and 22" barrel with a factory muzzle break. I'm putting a Vortex Diamondback Tactical in 4x12x40 on it. My reloading dies, brass and bullets should be here next Tuesday, from Midsouth Shooters Supply. Can't wait to get it all put together and get to the range. After I get it zeroed in, the coyotes are going to be my ballistics test subjects.

I assume you’re not interested in the fur? . That will be a fun gun to field test on coyotes.
