No winter is killing me this year. Meanwhile my brother is sending me pictures of his new sled and trip pictures from northern New Hampshire....ahhhh!!!

Ran the snow blower so I could take recycling out to the bins...... we probably have almost 2 inches already, state routes are dirty slushy with minimal yellow line visible.
I'm always amazed on how these storm lines run pretty much along I 70 all the time. I'm 10 mi north of that & just some rain here so far.
It’s a mess out...roads flooded and standing water everywhere. Hopefully a lot of this water makes its way to a drainage before the cold tonight. Otherwise it’ll be a real mess.
Got about 4.5" so far. Wind picked up around 2-2:30 to a pretty good clip. Steady 20-25mph with some good gusts in the open. I took the 7yr and 5yr old sledding at 1, just got home. We were able to wrangle up about 7-8 of their buddies. Keep dumping it!

I can't tell how much snow we get. If we get 7 inches I'll still see grass with zero wind breaks snows like these it's drifts or skiffs. It will be interesting what the total is just for my entertainment.
Got done blowing the drive and the wheeler was begging for a good ride. Put the DP Power camera on the front rack and took a spin. Here's a 10min video of the immediate area around our home with around 5" of snow and an unplowed road. It includes pulling out of the garage, down the road, back through the woods, the farm field behind our house, then back through the yard to the garage. This is where I hunt and spend most of my time between living, hunting, firewood, trail maint., mowing, spraying, helping neighbors, escaping the daily grind, etc. Around the 6:30 mark it gets better as I start to drop the hammer. I wanted to wait until she warm before romping on her in 4x4.
At the beginning going down the road, I pass the old farm house and hit open fields. It was blowing so hard I had to turn around. I had a balavica, helmet and goggles on but it was too much in the open. That wind was easily coming off Mother Erie and it stung bad!

It's nasty. I got alot of snow to move in the morning. 1st time in 4 years I've put my blade on the wheeler. Basically straight north wind piling up the drifts. It's shitty out!!!!
Just looked at future cast, another 6hrs to go still, around 1:30am finish. I still have hope

That wind finally reached us. I hope it blows someof that water of things before it freezes. My trees would be screwed right now otherwise.
10pm, solid 6.5" of fresh snow. Headed back out to do round 2 of clearing the drive. Wind is absolutely brutal. In all I am thinking we end up with 9-10". I'll take it but would have liked to see over 12" tomorrow morning waking up.
