Looking to learn more about todays campers

2.5 years and we have our first leak. Not a big deal, just some trim and we had planned on doing some resealing before winter anyways. Probably should’ve done this last year, but fall got away from me. I can’t blame the camper.
Overall, still very happy with the camper. For the price range these are, I’d suggest them for anyone looking for their first “new” camper. It ain’t fancy, it ain’t light, but it’s nice enough and my half ton does okay’ish dragging it.

Floor ain’t bad, it hasn’t been leaking long. Had 3 spots like this on the slide on one side. Little silicone will do the trick. Vacuum and shampoo the carpet. Spray it down with some disinfectant and put a fan on it for a few days. She’ll be fine.

You only have a single rear wheel? I suggest having two wheels in the rear. Maybe one on each axle. Just a suggestion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well Ill be damned. This was brought up again this weekend. Time for me to start giving this some thought. We arent in the same position we were in a few years ago, a little better off this go round. Still have to weigh the pros and cons. Knowing me, if I dont stop myself, Ill own one by the weekend. The problem we still have is storage. Wouldnt be able to get it down my street b/c of everyone parking on the street. HMMM

Nah...everything in the camper stays in the camper. Only thing we pack or unpack is food and clothes.

Yep, got to have dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker, etc. that stay in the trailer. We just were never any good with cleaning up before we packed up to head home after a trip. All the dirty dishes and all end up in the house dishwasher after a trip for us.
Wonder if you could rent storage room for it from the property owner where you hunt? It's a thought anyway.
Plus, you don't have to go big like Dave's or Adam's. You could do a smaller pull behind our a pop-up that you could store at your place. Mine doesn't take up much room here.
Lol, Adam, our rigs are far from big. 28-32 box is run of the mill middle for travel trailers, 5th wheel tow haulers reaching 45'+. That said, I have a family of 5 with kids having friends. 26-26/28 will be huge for 2-3ppl and a dog.
Dustin, lots of ppl store at local RV or storage areas. Some inside, some outside. Nothing wears on a camper more than being outside, but I keep mine in the driveway and check on it often. Inside gets you out of UV damage, but mice are always a battle. Properly cleaned, all food removed and all holes closed off, you'll be good to go.
Once you have it right outside, it will be tough to keep it somewhere else. Do you have a HOA to contend with also?

Do you have to go around a cul-de-sac or can you just back in? Remember, it it fits on the road, then it's just a straight line or curve and you'll be fine with some practice. If you can approach the drive from one direction and then just back in, golden. I try to back in to the "right" because it feels more natural. I can see better when the ass swings into the passenger side viewing areas.
