tinks 69 toothpaste, hell a few times a year ill spill doe piss on my hands, ill eventually forget about it and throw a big chew in makes me want to gag everytime.

Quality garmets have their place. The zippers, stitching, liners, and fit are of considerable quality above your more economic options. The remainder of their claims are largely BS marketing and fanboy pricing. Windproof is windproof, waterproof is waterproof. All of these new technology fabrics with their big claims all have positive and negative qualities. It's always a give and take. They all strive to possess the qualities of good old natural wool but often fall short. While synthetics are far more durable than wool they lack in either antimicrobial properties and or warmth retention when wet. Where as a synthetic may stink after a day or two wool can be worn much longer before smelling, they may have thermal properties similar to wool when dry, but start to lack when they get damp. If they were anything close then there would be no market for breeding, feeding, shearing, processing, and making wool garmets. Wool would be bankrupt. A decent outer layer garment over a quality wool base layer cannot be beat.
If you've ever worn wool from head to toe all day while hunting at 10,000 feet, then you know for sure why polyester and Gore-Tex is superior in many ways. QUALITY wool costs the same as or more than Sitka gear, etc., isn't very packable, doesn't block wind and is very heavy comparatively. takes forever to dry when it does get wet. I love my wool, but imo it isn't the be all, end all fabric for hunting clothes that we tend to think it is.

It's all a give and take. All wool head to toe isn't very smart. A synthetic outer like gortex as a wind and rain stopping layer makes total sense. Synthetic bases dry faster than wool but there's the gve and take, they also don't keep you warm when wet, stink way faster due to lack of natural antimicrobial properties, and don't have nearly the same wearable temperature range for the same layer as wool. By that I mean you can wear a wool base layer from say 20-60 and be ok, where as with a synthetic you might start overheating earlier if temps raise. Synthetics are also prone to making you cold through rapid evaporation due to how fast they dry if you work up a sweat. Where as wool will stay damp longer but they'll still keep you warm.

I think it’s BS. Also I don’t need a gimmick to kill deer.
Now for quality Camo, I think it’s a must. If you can’t stay comfortable, your chances a slimmer since you won’t hunt as long.
Same goes for stands, I can buy light-weight stands and sit a hour and a half squirming around cause it’s uncomfortable to me. Or carry a heavier stand and almost fall asleep in it and hunt 4-6 hours without feeling the need to stand or move.

So if deer can actually detect electrical impulses, better get rid of your iPhone, GPS or anything else running off of battery power while hunting. Even if it were true, who would do that? Not me! I’m sure no one has killed a deer with a phone and/or gps on them while hunting and emitting their own electrical impulses.....right?
I’m not saying the stuff works. Obviously a bunch of us and millions of others have done just fine for millions of years. I have been busted and don’t feel like anything I did caused it. Deer just have a way of knowing somehow. If this is the way they know, this product is on to something.

Deer are not sharks with electro sensors on their nose, or fish with lateral lines capable of detecting electronic fields. Biologists the world over haven't somehow missed discovering these sensors on a deer. Faraday cage clothing for hunting mammals is snake oil.

Tracker said it best.... Clothes are clothes, while some are better than others... Gimmicks are just that, a gimmick that they lead you to believe you'll become a better hunter if you buy them... Things like Hec's clothing, Scent Lok clothing, Scent Crusher Bag's and Ozonics to name a few are useless as tits on a bull.. Last year I shot a mature bear (12 years old) that came into the bait 6 times before I shot him... Those donuts were 10-12 yds from where I was sitting... I wasn't wearing any super duper clothing and he still never knew I existed... Another time bear hunting I saw a nice bear coming through the mountain laurel and decide to take it when it hit an opening... Thank God I shoot with both eye's open as just before she stepped out I saw 2 cub's lagging behind... She abruptly turned and headed my way... They passed within 5 yds of the tree I was sitting against... I could have touched her with the gun barrel... They never knew I was there... The list goes on as I've have animals around me every year... And I don't go out of my way to control my scent... Wash my clothes in Free and Clear All and shower with Ivory soap... I however think I'll get some Sika clothing... Might go in the lab tonight and see if I can come up with some scent free food that I can market cause when the desire to eat a sandwich comes up we don't want the deer smelling that mustard...

This is why I've started making my own lol. Gear all tends to be shit these days. Sheared beaver warm as hell waterproof and soft as can be.with a coyote mowhawk for shitsngiggles Finished my hand warmer tonight.its lined with beaver pelt.cant wait for the cold. I laugh as a gunsmith when I tell my customers don't mind the sewing machine lol
