Had to bring this up...didn’t you. Blew an intercooler boot a couple of weeks ago so I decided it was time to get a little more serious about figuring out the white smoke.

Not wanting to discuss this at all but priorities are priorities and numero uno for us currently is building a home. I'm taking a hard look at freeing up the equity in the Duramax to help offset any unforseen overages with the build. Issue then becomes payload and mpg.

I'm almost certain the mpg will be better in the 1/2 ton but not by much by reading and talking to owners. Then there's the warranty which I'll blow thru in 1.5yrs due to milage. The one today is rated at 12,900lbs towing so a light weight camper could be an option after we build.

God speed on that PowerStroke.

If mpg is included in this, what does deleting and tuning do? What does investing $1,500 do? In turn of gaining 3-5 mpg and being happy. Piece of mind is worth something here. Hell, I love the half ton we have, but it still isn’t a “truck” and never will be.

And a girl with a butch haircut that eats vagina is a dude...got it. 😂

A half ton is more than fine for most people. It’s just a hard transition.
I like my half ton. But driving 3/4 and 1 tons regularly at work make me understand exactly what you're talking about. A half ton just isn't the same. I'll be eyeballing F250s pretty hard when I decide to get a newer truck.

Yup, we have one we love. But when it’s time to work...just no comparison. It’s really hard to go to a smaller bed once you’ve had an 8’.

The new GM 6.6L gas it is. Getting ready to trade the Duramax in a few for a stripped down 2020 3/4 WT. Look forward to painting or changing out those wheels and pizza cutters but gonna run it a year or so as-is just to see what the original equipment does. Mixed gut on buying new model, fingers crossed.

Turbo, pretty common on these and I knew it was a possibility when I bought it. I’m doing the 15’+ updated turbo on it with all OEM parts. Shouldn’t have to touch it ever again. I’ll need to tune it down the road to get it dialed in, but it’ll get by with the tunes it currently has. Even with this, I’m still alright in the purchase. You just can’t find these trucks this clean.
