Stupid expensive.... They can keep their deer I have no desire to shoot a pen raised deer.... What's the thrill??? I enjoy getting all the satisfaction of doing it myself... That's what hunting is all about, not just pulling the trigger..

When I was sitting up in the woods yesterday , I was thinking about this type of business and the money involved. It's crazy fer sure. Just think about the $$$ they'll pay just for the semen of a good buck. Let alone the process of obtaining it & all.

If this is how it worked around here I would have paid more for the deer on my wall than I have in my retirement account. Lol.

So this "131" deer which was truly only a 123" 8pt frame would be $3000 plus $1600-1800 for the 8 6/8" droptine? No way in the world I'm paying $4600-4800 for a deer who wouldn't make P&Y. The trophy in this deer 'to me' (outside the droptine which was badass) was the history with him and shed from 2yrs prior.

Hopefully at that facility they don't have one of those stretchy tape measures that a lot of guys seem to have. Maybe stretchy tape measures are the "hidden fees" of the fenced world.
