What are you wearing in the stand for different weather?

I got pretty chilled last week on my lower body without a windproof layer. i wore what I would have worn in similar weather in the Turkey woods and it didn't cut it.

Put the temp range for that set or option because obviously what you wore in September isn't gonna work in January.

Purchased a heater body suit from my stand this morning. Hoping it solves some of the freezing, sweating, stinking and then freezing again issue.

Doesn’t matter what you wear as long as you play the wind and high enough in a tree.. ground hunting is totally different but usually sweat pants

Makes me laugh people spend thousands of dollars on hunting clothes and equipment and a guy in my town just shot a 170 180 buck with a 80 Walmart cross bow in greasy work clothes

Multiple layers.
Up top I wear
Poly-pro base layer.
Fleece mid layer
Hunting coat. (Cold weather)
Hunting jacket in mild weather

On my legs
Thermal base
Fleece lined pants
Bibs (if it's cold)
Muck artic pro boots

In cold weather I will also wear
Neck gator
Gloves
Camo ski mask
I will add hand warmers if real cold.

Normally for early season I’m able to get away with just a hoodie. I’m a freeze baby when it gets 30 and below. I wear under Armour base layer, normally a pair of fleece pants/sweatpants and a hoodie as a mid layer, and last level is a think pair of wool pants and a wool jacket. I have a good set a gloves with one of those hand warmers you normally see football payers wear (straps around the waist and you put both hands in) and a fleece hat with a neck gator.

The indians used whatever best materials they had available at the time. If you gave an Indian a choice between buckskin leggings and Sitka gear, I bet he'd choose the Sitka. Do you have to spend 1000's of dollars on clothing to kill big deer? Of course not. You can kill deer wearing nothing but your birthday suit. That wasn't the guy's question though. He didn't ask for what was better or who's dick was bigger than who's. He asked who wears what in the woods.

Me, I'm one of those dipshits that spends a lot of money on hunting gear. I wear Sitka for deer hunting and waterfowl hunting. Do I kill 170" bucks? No, but I'm damn comfortable while I'm out there trying.

When it comes to hunting in the cold, and hunting from a treestand where you're sitting still for long periods of time, you absolutely MUST wear something with a windproof layer if you want to remain warm the entire time you're out there. Good quality baselayers like merino wool or equivalent, followed by a fleece or puffy down insulating layer, followed by an outer shell that is windproof and/or waterproof will keep you very comfortable down to 15 degrees or possibly lower. A big key is to be able to "layer" your clothing. You don't want to walk to your stand wearing all of it, or wearing a big heavy outer layer. Walk to your stand wearing just enough to stay warm but prevent sweating, then add the additional layers once you're on stand and cooling down.

People spend 50k on a truck and could easily buy a 500 dollar car to get where they need to go. Dude wants ideas on how to stay warm, not clothing ideas that will magically put a nice buck in front of him. Go smoke another one bud

Under armour infrared base layers, then polypropylene over that. Fleexe pajama pants and fleece shirt. Then my midweight pants nd my heavy ass Duxback coat with ragwool gloves

I'll start today with two layers of Cabelas ECWS, one older style, one newer style. Then I'll go with a layer of mid-weight fleece, then a windproof layer. I have one of the Cabelas wool, windproof sweaters that I love. I almost always wear a hoodie as well. The biggest thing is keeping your head and neck warm, so a good neck gaiters and beanie are a must.

I have some Under Armour stuff mixed with Cabelas gear and am happy with it all. But I'll say this, I tried some Sitka gear on this week and son, if I wasn't already well equipped, I'd start there. That stuff is awesome.

I've got one of those same sweaters. That thing is stupid warm. I actually have to be careful about when I choose to wear it because I've sweated in it so bad before. This is actually my second one, as my wife decided to throw my last one in the dryer on high heat.
