Safety strap for the tree stand. I always seem to fall asleep for a minute or two and won't go into a tree without one. I now carry two in my backpack as I forgot one in the cabin on one of my first hunting trips. Nothing like making two long hikes instead of one to learn that lesson.

Ya. Pornhub can really drain a battery during a all day sit.
Luckily I hunt close too the property owners house too pick up that unprotected WiFi....

Good clothing and footwear to match the weather being a given, I’d say binoculars. My daypack is full of necessities (water, knife, jerky, flashlight etc.) but a good pair of binoculars will be used all day.

Can't think of anything else not mentioned.... However a LIFELINE should be used at all times when climbing and descending a tree... That way you are attached to the tree from the time your boots leave the ground till they come back down... This comming from a guy who years ago would go up 20 ft with nothing on as a safety device...
I like my pair of mittens in cold weather. They're the ones with acorns printed on them. They really brought in the big guys last season.

Weapon gets a pass, I figure a cell phone should also be a given. As far as clothing, I'm not picky, whatever is appropriate for the conditions.
My "must have" would be a sharp knife, with a 50' length of paracord a close second.

Clothing/footwear to keep you on stand fits in with weapon in my eyes. Can't hunt without either. Binoculars would be next most important item after weapon and clothes. Lifelife/harness are no brainer. They are a requirement.

I rarely go on a hunt to public ground without my wicked lights scan pro. Overkill for walking into/ out of stands? Maybe.
But, it can be dimmed way down with a green / red/ or white bulb for morning walk in. Or you can dial the white light all the way up to look for blood or make your way down a ridge with tricky footing.

I’m torn between boots and clothing, both which I need to update!! I hate putting 4-5 layers on for late season hunting. Just doesn’t work, get too hot and sweaty and then you know the rest !
