Sat tonight...6 does and a spike that was hornier than a teenager on prom night...chased the does relentlessly until dark.

Skunked. Guys I’ve run into have had success on a couple nice bucks which is good to hear. Seemed like there was decent rut activity earlier this week in Athens.

7 does 2 bucks. They didn't seem to be paying attention to the does for some reason.

Heading to some public land for a bonus hunt when i get off this morning. Get 2 more buck tags per hunt if your lucky enough to lay eyes on one.
A buck chasing another deer @7:10 within 80.yards & a deer that bedded in the thick honeysuckle patch within 30 yards upwind of me just before legal time. That’s it for the moment.

Yesterday was a shitty day for me on stand. Saw one doe at 7am and that was it for the day.
I'm at work now and hope to be on stand by 3:00.

Saw nine or ten total one buck chasing. Meat hunting now. About got a shot at a big fatty. Her fawns were underneath me she was at 35. tons of branches in the way then got down wind of me for about a ten minutes of standing looking in my direction. I don't think I've ever shook so bad in my life being cold and doe fever idk haha....be back out after while but out of the freaking wind!!!!!!!! 1st morning hunt this season was nice.
Here goes nothing. Bedding area downhill of me and generally the deer move through here each evening to feed.
I'm in. Just hoping on hope at this point as I have nothing going anywhere. This will probably be one of my last sits for awhile. I have no clue what stage of rut were in around here as I've observed very little rut activity whatsoever. I do know that if they are lockdown which is what I'd guess, these tall native grass fields are a favorite for them to hold over a doe.
