Glad I won't have to hear about how great the ACC is for 7 months. That will be nice.

Oh... And anytime targeting is called its a bad call. :p

Targeting needs to be changed. I'm not saying don't call it, but don't eject for one targeting hit. If you can get two unsportsmanlike penalties before ejection, make targeting the same. Both Clemson playoff games had crucial players get tossed for one hit. And I'm sorry, I still don't think the targeting call on Wade for OSU was right. The only reason Lawrence got hit anywhere near the head was because he ducked. By that time, Wade was committed to his hit and I didn't really think he lead with the helmet. The Clemson LB, IMO, was targeting to the letter of the law. Launched head first, with the crown of the helmet, right to the head of another player. I still don't think he deserved to be ejected for it. Change it to ejection after two targeting calls. The stripes shouldn't be able to change the complexion of a game based on their judgement of one tackle.

I agree it needs changed. If it's intentional and to the head, maybe an ejection is warranted, otherwise, two times and your out.
I disagree on the Shaun Wade hit. It has absolutely nothing to do with him hitting the head. Wade lowered his head and used the crown. Pretty evident is was letter of the law as well. Didn't deserve an ejection though

can you tell me how #73 didn't get called for grabbing Chase Youngs facemask and nearly pushing his helmet off?

Can you tell me how this isn't leading with the crown of the helmet?

Targeting

Sure, he lowers himself a little before the hit. I see that as different than this, where a player launches himself like a weapon into a players head.

Or this.

Here's a video full of questionable targeting calls very similar to the Wade hit. Defenders lowering their shoulders/head and hitting a player NOT above the shoulders. Hell the Michigan player gets pushed into another player and gets ejected for targeting.

Bottom line...in my opinion, the punishment doesn't fit the crime, especially if the crime is that subjective.
