Winds have subsided, no real limbs or trees down. The wife and I did our daily ritual and walked the dogs and cleaned up the small stuff that was laying around....
Looks like we made it unscathed down here. Snow moving in the higher elevations tonight and the wind is finally calming down. Got my muzzleloader ready to go try to stomp a pig in the morning on some public land.

Good luck, with the hogs. Winston-Salem was talking snow this evening or overnight but every forecast I’ve seen said 2% chance 😂

1/2" of ice up here on Wednesday night. Load salt. Drive around. Spread. Repeat. Sleep two hours midday. Head back out. Peel up what we could into Thursday night. Salt more. Sleep two hours around 6-8pm. Maybe 6-930pm. I don't really remember exactly. My phone kept ringing. Had to keep responding to texts and calls. Got back out Friday night around midnight. Peel more hard pack. Salt again. About 3am I started calling in more operators. Got an inch but it was on top of 1/2" of ice which was finally breaking up a little better. Caught 2-3 hours sleep again. Headed out around 11pm last night to check everything. Got home around 330am this morning. Were calling for up to an inch today between 7am and 9am. Woke up at 6am. No snow. Repeated every half hour from 6am-830am. Finally decided it wasn't going to happen. Slept from 830-noon or so. Going to sleep a full night finally. 3 nights with 2-3 hours sleep here and there is super cool. . . .If you are 22yrs old and on spring break. I'm feeling it in my mid forties as a working man. Calling for another 1-3" tomorrow afternoon then changing to rain. I'm begging for temps to rise sooner and make it all rain.

Gotcha, was curious where you were with all that snow on the ground. My guess was closer too Tennessee boarder.... They have a year long season on them snaggle tooth’s?
There is no season. Only regulations are on public land like i was on today. Have to match the season as far as weapons you can use. Its small game now so we can use rimfire or muzzleloader on public land. Private you can shoot them year around, over bait, spotlights, with dogs, hand grenades may even be a go.

That's a great pic Lackster. Good looking boar.

They were calling for 1.5" of snow. Temps rising into the overnight hours. Changing to rain around 6-7pm. Supposed to start around noon. Pushed back start time to 3-4pm. Now saying maybe a couple hours of snow and then rain. I'm not complaining. Sure. We do make money when it snows. But. . . A little break here and there is welcome. Slept all night. It felt phenomenal! Looking forward to another full night of sleep.
