Here's what you guys are not understanding about the comparisons with the flu. This coronavirus is 20-30xs more contagious and is lagging in infection rates because it hasn't had the running start the flu has. In 6 months, that graphic @Boarhead just posted WILL look a lot different. As someone who is training in marketing and data interpretation, you can make the numbers say whatever you want them to say, especially when you manipulate them to serve your narrative and omit pertinent data.
We only tested a small number of people - numbers will take a big jump when and if adequate numbers of people are tested - uhm er ahh there is a vaccine for the flu - sadly less then half the population in the usa gets it - duh wtf

The time to worry about a forest fire is when it's small, not when it's burning down entire cities. We have a pretty clear understanding of the progression of COVID by what has taken place in China, Italy, and other nations. This virus is twice as contagious as the flu and an order of magnitude 20-30 times more deadly. By the time this is over, seasonal influenza is going to look like a papercut. Short of a magic leprechaun popping out of a cake and sprinkling immunity dust this isn't going away and poses a serious risk of death. Especially in America where our advancements in medicine and quality of care has extended the lifespan of our seniors and those living with chronic health issues. Things like heart disease, respiratory issues, diabetes and high blood pressure are all very manageable health issues in America today. However, these individuals are now facing a very serious real threat to their lives and we as a nation should be doing everything in our power to stop it early and protect our citcizens. We are losing that battle today and COVID is racing across American cities at an alarming rate. Despite the number that we're seeing for "tested" individuals, it's pretty obvious that we have widespread community transmission that is now beyond our ability to contain or quarantine.

I fail to see how that is gest. It's a misleading infographic with no explanation, not even a

You have the ability to delete your own posts. And yes, when posting something that's supposed to be funny, it always helps to have context since all we have to go on is what we see.

My panties aren't in a bunch bud. But I think it's critical to provide valuable and honest information on this and help to inform people in the face of misinformation, even when in jest. The world is fighting a very real epidemic at the moment. I just received word that three cases have been confirmed in Cuyahoga County, over the coming days, weeks, and months this will grow to epic proportions right here in our state. It's beyond the point of maybe, perhaps, and "could be" to an actual serious viral pandemic. Cute memes and jokes are needed to maintain humor, and hopefully ease our worry, but misinformation is a different dragon.

I took advantage of $1.95 gas this weekend in both vehicles. The Saudis are doing to Russia exactly hat they did to the US when we had our Oil and gas boom. They massively slashed prices per barrel and are dumping millions of barrels of oil into the market. They're looking to destroy the supply market of Russia to the EU. If they actually follow through with what they've said we very well may see dollar a gallon gas again in the next few months.

Before taking that deep breath make sure you've maintained a 6 foot social distance from anyone though.
3 cases confirmed in Cuyahoga County today. 2 were on a cruise in Africa. 1 was at a conference in DC.

Fascinating considering today Ohio just got the ability to test locally. I look for these numbers to increase daily with a large spike due to community transmission, likely by the end of the week. I believe it's been here for a couple of weeks.
