Not sure how popular these hunts are. I put in for a couple dove hunts and one deer hunt at buck creek. I probably just donated about 9.00 to the ODNR...anyone else gambling on these things?
Word on the street is the folks at NASA Plumbrook cancelled the hunt, indefinitely.I said I wasn't going to play this year, but I lied. Did I not see a Nasa hunt this time?
Can't be any worse for me. I've haven't been drawn for over ten years. It’s 2020, not a good year for odds or lottery
Unless it’s changed. The Ravenna hunt if it was an antlerless draw or if you harvested an antlerless deer you could use the urban tags. But if it was an antlered deer you’d burn your tag on it.I’ve never done it. My understanding is that these don’t go against your county or state limit. Is that correct? This new work schedule this year might open this option up. IF it doesn’t count against my state total.
I see it list that you can use the discounted $15 tag. (Even outside of the dates)For some reason I didn’t think it counted towards your totals. It would be nice if it didn’t.
The incentive is the deer #’s there’s no lack of participants....I see it list that you can use the discounted $15 tag. (Even outside of the dates)For some reason I didn’t think it counted towards your totals. It would be nice if it didn’t.
That is how I understand it. Kill all the doe you want, still only 1 antlered deer.I know for sure last year when Denny got drawn for the Deer Creek hunt they told us that any deer killed didn’t count towards statewide total unless it was a buck.
Thanks JB! I was searching all over trying to find it. I might apply this year. Donate a few dollars. You’re allowed 6 deer total for controlled hunts, and they do not count toward your statewide 6 deer limit. So if you tag out in various countries, and shoot 6 deer at various controlled hunts, you’re allowed 12 deer for the entire season. Only 1 antlered deer regardless of place.
