That’s one thing... I used to shoot 3D pretty frequently when I was shooting my compound. I’ve yet to shoot a course with my recurve but I wish I could! We don’t really have a decent course nearby anymore.

Ask and you shall receive. JB, me and one of my buddies and his woman hit a course this AM. It was a great time, and we beat the rain until right at the end. Some great shooting by JB with that stick n string!

Well my first attempt at building an arrow is in the books. 28” @ 9.7gpi, 75 gr insert, 125 gr head + nock

and fletchings should put me right at 500 gr total weight & 15.6% FOC. Can’t wait to see how they fly!

Shooting 40 arrows a day ,the end of August is total archery challenge in boyne Michigan .first time with my matthews halon, feather fletched a dozen pile drivers. Think I'm ready for those 70 to 100yd shots

You know....I've never dinged a knock or stripped a fletching while shooting any of my crossbows, but I have a pile of destroyed arrows from the compound.

I know better than to shoot more than one arrow at a time with the crossbow. It isn’t like I don’t need the walk.

I got started on my big boy arrows last night. FOC won't be quite what I was after, but at 595 grains with a double bevel broadhead, not much scares me!

I'm super proud of these babies. 600 grains on the nose. 12.5% FOC, which was roughly my target. I can't wait to turn them loose tomorrow!
