My brother bought a ‘72 Challenger when came home from Vietnam. Blue with white vinyl roof and interior. 340 with a 4 speed. I guess in my mind that was about the coolest car ever.

Why hell, if we get to pick. Get me a 72’ Elco, sitting on 38s, painted like the General lee, with a duramax power plant.

Boy does Jim have a deal for you*.... I bet he's sitting on enough parts to build 2-3 Elcos. He only wanted the frame to restore and sell as Chevelle frames as all of the 68-72 A-body frames are the same. well "all" but convertable and 2dr vs 4dr.

*Some assembly required. :ROFLMAO:

I have no real interest in muscle cars at all, but I can appreciate them for what they are. yesterday I was giving a painting quote to some folks who live about a mile up the road from me. practically neighbors. took me about 15 minutes to prepare a price for them, but after spending an hour and half talking politics, pandemic and such, getting know each other, I guess, my new painting customer offered to show me his 1968 Dodge Charger. he bought it new in 68, drove it for a long time, kept it all these years. fully restored it several years ago. totally immaculate and bad ass. told me he recently had a serious offer of $225k for the car.

Went too that big classic car auction a couple years ago while out in Arizona. The amount of money those cars fetch is mind boggling.... Talking too Joes FIL, Jim will reaffirm what I saw....

I used to like watching those auctions. I wonder how I can live stream it now that I cut the cord🤔
99% of the people there were spectators just intrigued by it all.... But those 1%’s were dead serious about buying their dream car...
