Guys.... Come on get outta here and stop eating my goodies, in time you'll be an overgrown raccoon like me.... Now go away.... Between you and Fury, you eat all my donuts....
Can you hunt bears by you????
Like I've said many times on here any TOO member wants to come hunt them here I'll put them in an area that has bears... You are correct in saying we have GIANTS killed every year in excess of 700 lbs... I'll put cams and bait out next week in prep for our Oct. 12th. opener... This bear was on the property last year, we'll see if he's still around and put on any weight....No we can not! They are horrible by us. Probably not the size you encounter but there has been bears close to 500#.
Correct me if I’m wrong but after buying a bear permit, isn’t there a class that you have to attend or did that change? Can permits be bought over the counter?Like I've said many times on here any TOO member wants to come hunt them here I'll put them in an area that has bears... You had to attend a class years ago... Classes are no longer mandatory... Permits go on sale Sept. 14th I believe and are over the counter... Unless something has changed they cost a whopping $2.00..... But you have to buy the archery or firearm license depending on what your hunting with.... Early season is Oct 12th thru Oct 17th, that whole week is archery, then Thurs. thru Sat. is muzzleloader..... I currently know of only one bear guide that has openings....Correct me if I’m wrong but after buying a bear permit, isn’t there a class that you have to attend or did that change? Sounds like a carbon copy of New Jersey.... I believe it was right around 70 that they closed the season... Then they began to thrive and they re-opened it in 2003... Every since then it's a real shit show with the activists... Then Murphy got elected governor and he promised to stop bear hunting in the state if elected... He tried but found out due to legality issues he could not stop it statewide, however he has control over any state owned lands and stopped it on them... Now he's trying to raise the cost of a bear permit from $2 to$100.... They go on sale next Monday so I better get my 2 permits before it goes up....There used to be one till the early 80’s I think. Went on the endangered list. Made a great comeback and had to fight the activist in court to get them delisted. Now they studying them to try to figure out a season. It will never be on public lands and will e a lottery system.
