Looks good right? Adam and I followed blood like this for over 600 yards... 4 hours after the shot, we jumped her out of a corn field. She never bedded, great lung blood the whole time.

After she ran out of the cornfield, she passed through a brush row into the neighboring bean field and vanished. We were still in the corn when she ran out. Had a good idea where she cut through the brush, but we didn't actually see her. Tried to find new blood sign, but she was just gone.

Fuck me running, with blood like that, she should have bedded and died... tough old nanny.
Thanks for the assist, Adam, I don't know what else we could have done.

Ahhh dreading this post,

Last night sun going down I shot a large Doe, arrow stuck in her. I shot her right side. We waited 40 minutes before tracking. The blood trail was indicating left signs only. I’m thinking the bolt is through both sides but didn’t exit. She wandered a bit through some beans. Some bright red burst of blood then nothing. Burst and then nothing. We searched for 6 hrs last night and 6 hrs this morning and came up empty loosing the blood trail and all signs of where she may have gone. No bolt or doe recovered.
I’m hoping she’s still alive as the last sign of blood was a good 300 yards away.

Deer under the stand as I climbed in again, around 4:40. At sunset two of them hauled ass out and I thought the wind swirled. Then I saw antlers cruising the field edge quickly so I grunted at him. Turned out to be a 2.5 yr old 8pt but couldn't tell right away. He stopped and turned coming right at me. He stopped again and did some scraping and rubbing on some saplings in the field and I grunted again. He came trucking to me grunting the whole way and stopped under my stand for ten minutes. A small deer came 150 yards across the field straight to him, either and orphaned doe or BB. He had no interest in it then they moved on. Amazing how they can pinpoint the sound of that grunt, guess that’s why @giles doesn't call. Fun night, good spot I have set up. I was unsure because it is so close to bedding, but it is ideal because I have good access through wide open timber, it butts up to thick bedding and a creek, and I have a clear view of 4 acres of overgrown field.

Dang Dante! It’s amazing how resilient these deer can be. Blood sign looks great as well. Hang in there man!
