Just kind of stumbled across this forum. I have been on other hunting forums but it has always ended in too much drama. I am not here to steal anyone's husband, just learn some more about bow hunting. I am 38 years old and just got into bow shooting and hunting a few years ago. I did manage to kill a button buck last year but that was mostly luck.

Hopefully you folks can help me learn to become better at this sport. Nothing beats a sunrise in a treestand, even if I seldom see any deer:smiley_depressive:

You're in luck! I ain't married... Just kidding... We'll not about the not being married part.. Oh nevermind. lol ..... Welcome! I don't think you should run into too much drama here. We're a pretty good group of guys. We just got the site up and running last Monday so forgive the lack of content.. We're getting there and in my opinion have some of the best hunters and sportsmen out there. So don't be afraid to ask questions.

How do you like my picture Geezer?:smiley_deer:

Welcome to the site Bow Lady! Hope you find some good information here. Plenty of joking, and the site is new, but the serious hunting questions will be answered if you have any. Best of luck this season!

Welcome to the site! We'd love to see your harvest from last year - there's plenty of guys were that love to shoot button bucks...

There's a lot of great guys on this site that can learn you quite a bit!

Shot a couple myself last year. Mighty tasty! Mental note: "No button bucks this year. Hold out for the big boys."

At first I thought you wuz holdin up a German Shepherd till I spotted the hooves...dang

Bowlady, these boys know their stuff and I've learned alot from them in the last couple years....if you're lookin for knowledge, "there's gold in these here hills" so to speak....(just look in the archery section about arrow weights already)

And if'n ya want to know about something specific, just start a thread askin about it. that's what works for me.

Old Matt killed the biggest damn button buck on the farm while my buddy sat on the other side of the holler from him and watched the luckiest 150" deer in SE Ohio sneak right past him! :D Matt made a damn good shot on that deer. If he kills another one this year, he's got a streak going at Sandridge Outfitters!!! :smiley_adfundum:

Good shot, great wound...which broadhead?

Rage 2-blade. It didn't open all the way so I am not a hige fan. But, I would have killed that thing with a field point if I used it since it went through the heart. It was almost double the size of the deer it was with, which is why I thought it was a doe with a fawn and not a BB.

Jesse, maybe this year you can pen something up with real horns on it? ;)
