What should I do? Blow tomorrow off hot rut but hot weather? Or wait till cold weather deer everywhere next Wednesday -weekend? I think I'm going to work tomorrow.

Im all about the [emoji817] effort kick but it'll be just mornings for a bit here. Once that cold front kicks in next week I'll hit it hard again. Good time to get some PM honey-do's done, like I have to to hold off the divorce proceedings [emoji1787]

First time posting here. Got a week off starting yesterday. Haven’t seen much here in my neck of the woods. One nice 3 year old 8 about 5 last night. A couple small bucks. Eerily quiet for early November. Hoping this picks up despite warm weather.

Alright Giles, you inspired me to get off the couch and back in the creek bottom where I saw the 3 yr old last night. First order of business last night was to shoot a sick coyote. Figured it would ruin my hunt but buck walked just downwind and didn’t bat an eye .

Look at your couch...If there are no deer sitting on it, then it's a Great Day To Hunt!

Gotta try to pick 100 percent best days of the season to take off work. I'd hunt everyday if possible.

Just passed a very unique buck I had no business passing. Too indecisive and by the time I could clearly see he was gone. He gave me a nice show raking the limbs on down the trail. Frustrated at myself

Got the buck on camera from yesterday and I still don’t know what he is

For sure! I went to one of the farms I have permission in Medina county. Got in around 2:30 and saw a nice 8 immediately. He ended up coming into range and I decided to pass as I took off two weeks from work that started this Monday. An hour later I had two more young guys come by and wonder off. Around 6:10 I threw out a couple soft grunts and shot this guy at 15 yards 10 minutes later. He ran 30 yards and tipped over in sight. Now I’m just cheering for my wife and dad to get one down.

Something rather strange on the way in. I noticed some small patches of deer hair in & along the side of the road in front of our alfalfa field. No other deer signs anywhere else in the immediate area. IDK if a couple bucks got together fighting in the field or what, or perhaps a deer might have been hit by a car?

I attached a couple of photos of what's there. More white patches along the side of the road is deer hair also in the 2nd photo. A stretch of about 10 yards or better. No blood to be seen anywhere. No tire skid marks either.

Hmmm,,, something to ponder over I suppose.

Anyways, anyone that might have any idea what possibly might have caused it, please let me know, thanks!

I'll investigate further tomorrow.
