Elite Hunter issues

Just got the bow off the UPS truck. I had to loosen one of the bolts for the QAD rest a tiny amount so that it would flip back like it was before but other then that it looks AWESOME. Just have to put the site, custom Fluteman Sling, and stabalizer back on it.

New Bow. Now to head down and pickup the release and tell him to eat the shipping on it and get out shooting.

btw. you should try a peep. if mr. no peep, no site, shoot instinctive, ted nugent has started using a peep and red dot site. I guess that says something.

We can shoot this weekend for sure.

As far as Uncle Ted...His sponsers gave him that stuff and he has to pay his fines one way or another lol.

I finally got a chance to hit the range for a bit this afternoon. I think with the new limbs peaked out it is faster and a little quieter then it was before with the heavier limbs backed all the way out. The valley is much better then before. The only thing that gets me is when I go to let down the draw I have to almost take all the pressure off to get it to start back down and then all of a sudden it takes off so you have to grab tension again quick lol. Overall I am very happy and very pleased with the Elite Hunter.

You'll appreciate that when ole mossy horns decides to stand behind a tree licking himself while you're at full draw.. lol Great looking bow man.

In my experience that feeling is normal with these bows...My z28 is very similar to the Hunter model an i know when I put my draw stops at max let off for the 1st time an came to full draw..I thought the bow had locked up at full draw..You should also be able to creep a fair bit an maneuver at full draw or while creeping pretty easily with it TOO..Which as Joe said is going to be awesome when the moment of truth comes

It was like this to a point with the old limbs but with the newer lighter limbs at peak wieght it is a lot more then before with "letting the draw down" but it will be fine...just not something I was expecting to that degree lol. Glad I did it a few times so I know what to expect if I ever find mossy big horns has turned and walked away after standing behind a tree for an hour lol.


I did find that with the shorter draw mods that I don't smack my forarm anymore lol. I am going to need a peep sight though. I found that the shorter draw mods and to get the kisser button where it needs to be that my eye is inline with the string now. Oh, MILO :smiley_baby:
