i have had horrible luck with my wife being off work the days I've had off to hunt just not the same. I'll be watching the kids for an hr or two then back out. Bullshit.
Got that doe hanging, ate a couple of hot sandwiches and this trick heater is cranked with the seat back.

Waiting on @TinyTucky and @OhioWhiteTails to meet up for lunch. Figured I was driving right by the farm and it wouldn't be right not to hunt opening day at all, so I came prepared. Gonna spend a couple hours on a walkabout and see what happens.

Good luck out there! Midday and rain still in the NE, clean in SE and snow West. No excuses.
Snowing hard in NW Ohio all morning but barely sticking to the ground so far. I only saw 3 does all morning. They were hunkered down in the same spot all morning. Not much movement from everyone I've talked with so far. Maybe tonight they will move some.

I'm beginning to forget what deer look like lol.
Just 2 deer so far for me. I expect the action to pickup hopefully later this evening during the last hour.
Only 2 shots heard so far. Same gun, same location, quickly back to back, probably missed, just South by approx. 1/2 mile, midmorning.
Now back to a freezing hard blowing snow type conditions with more of a western wind.
Currently, W-NW wind @15-25mph with a temp of 33* & blowing snow in Ross Co.
May the wind lay down and the snow pick up even more at prime-time this evening.
