I usually smile but I had a crowd around me taking pics and they wanted me to cheese it up. Also I’m happy killing good bucks but it’s always bitter sweet. When my boys are w me I’d rather them kill instead of me. I was trying to get Hunter to hunt there but he always does his own thing. Several times I tell him to hunt “x” and he picks y. I hunt the x and send him pics of decent bucks thinking we will have another shot at him but never do.

As I watched my buck and sized him up I considered passing thinking they might get a shot. After 5 minutes I said we may never see him again so I took the shot. Immediately Hunter text me and asked which one, I knew he was down in the dumps cause he wanted to kill it. There was only two bucks we had on cam that I said we would shoot, unless someone’s else’s buck showed up. Again I was happy but really wanted one of my boys to kill it.

I get it, I was just busting your balls. How old is Hunter? Sounds like an independent thinking kid. Probably a chip off the old block
