Just walked in the door...

2 antlerless right at quitting time. One within bow range @30 and the other just out of bow range @50 that came from the West. I had to wait on them to leave the cornfield cause that's my route out. I left the property @6:30 p.m.

Update on my hunting that upper 130s, low 140s 8pt. Deer was in my bottom thirty minutes after I set up at 615. Didn’t have enough light to even see my peep. Cell cam showed me pictures of him until 631am. He left over the same hill he came in on, guessing he’s going to browse on ‘corns then go back to bed. Gonna be an all day sit boys, I’ll keep you posted

Another update. 5 small bucks and my shooter today so far. Four does and a fox as well. Been a great first half of the day. Hoping that 8 will come back in around last light for his evening meal it this time in time for me to see my damn peep lol
If you have an idea where he's bedding from the direction he went back to move a stand and catch him on his way back to bed if he keeps doing that or catch him coming back thru on an evening hint.

Well guys one hell of a way to end the day. I had a brand new buck I haven’t seen all season come in right at 5pm. Came in through the swampy bottom and made it to 13 yards from my hang on. Never saw him or heard him until he was behind this huge oak tree. As light was transpiring he continued to feed on big acorns presenting me with a very small shot window. He was pacing around this huge tree mostly with his head down and I was covered up with huge briar bushes in that direction and small trees. I would say about ten or fifteen minutes go by and all of a sudden his head picks up and ears perk up. Starts stomping his feet, and blows off the hill side back down into the bottom. At this time I looked in the direction he was staring into and saw him. My shooter, walking down wind of me, at 45 yards at the end of this field. By the time I got my bow loaded and got him to stop with a simple mehhh, I realized I couldn’t see through my peep. Ranged at 39 yards. He evaded me again. If the high 120s buck hadn’t had my attention maybe I would have seen him sooner..... but an absolutely shit day turned into a great evening! Ahhhhhh this fucker is good. Tomorrow is another day.
