Well last night sucked.
Shot a doe. 100 yards downhill lung hit. She screamed at me 7 times as she trotted off just out of sight another 15 seconds later screamed again and dead silence.
I gave it 30 minutes as it got dark walked down the ravine and wasn’t a speck of blood. She was standing on a patch of snow and could clearly see where she got knocked over by the hit. Looked for 2 hours to no avail. And then I heard the yotes.
Walked back up to the field and my buddy’s dad got the jeep stuck. Tried to push him out as he fishtailed and got swept by his cargo carrier. I can now attest the phrase “I feel like I got hit by a truck” is an appropriate analogy.
Positive outlook: I can now say I moved up on Ohio’s worst hunter scoreboard [emoji23]

Gun week has sucked for me so far, out with the bow on a small chunk of private. Little too intimate with the neighbors houses to use a gun, I know I’ll see a giant at 50 now

I ended up not seeing a single deer last night or this morning. We ended our weekend hunt earlier today, the property owners wanted to head home today instead of tomorrow. I’m not upset we had a good two days and we will be back down for the bonus in two weeks.

pushed the last two days of gun, connected on my second doe of the season jumping shooting her in a corn field at about 10 yards.
Whitetail deer are rumored to inhabit Muskingham county, but you couldn’t tell from the couple days I hunted gun season. I might as well have had a Sasquatch tag. Good luck to everyone who connected. Maybe they will be itching to move around in a couple of weeks.

The #worstdeerhunterinohio is back in a stand. There’s nothing I want to shoot, just doing live recon. Most of our bucks have checked in since gun ended including the two 4 year olds.
